Lorenza Maddalena

Lorenza Maddalena got her bachelor degree in Chemistry (Università di Catania) in 2012 and then moved to Università di Torino for a master degree in Advanced Chemistry Methodology (2014). During these years she specialized in physical chemistry and studied in dept the interaction stored between probe molecules and metals in catalyst active sites. Then, she moved to Politecnico di Torino where she concluded a PhD in Material Science and Technology cum laude with a thesis on nanocoatings based on graphene related materials for gas barrier and heat shielding applications. Up to now she is a post-doc at Politecnico di Torino and her research interests are mainly focused in the field of surface modification of polymers through the water-based deposition of green polyelectrolyte complexes aiming at a safer and environmental friendly approach for the production of advanced materials.
