I am currently at the end of my second year of research activity as PhD student in Industrial Chemistry, however, my journey into chemistry started seven years ago, when I decided to attend the bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry at the University of Bologna and where I explored different subjects until I fell in love with polymer chemistry. After a fruitful internship carried out over six months at Dow Chemical, where I experienced a taste of the life in the industry, I decided that it was not yet time to stop studying and then I joined the research group of Prof. Rossetti at the University of Milan. However, since I am both curious and always keen to learn new things, our main research topics are not related to polymers but focus on the sustainable chemistry via photocatalysis as well as the process design and optimization. All the skills and tips that I learned during these years while working in many fields (Inorganic, Organic and Polymers chemistry) helped me countless time since the Industrial Chemistry represent the link between the real world and many disciplines, so having an overview of different topics is just mandatory. Anyway, after the PhD I surely want to join the industrial sector again!
