Get Ready for the Second Edition of the MIPOL Young Symposium!
We’re thrilled to announce the return of the MIPOL Young Symposium, part of this year’s Milan Polymer Days congress! Following the success of its debut, the symposium is once again shining a spotlight on the next generation of polymer scientists.

Open to graduate students, post-docs, young professionals, and researchers aged 32 or under, this mini event is designed as a vibrant platform for young scientists to present their work, spark meaningful discussions, and build lasting networks. This year, we’re proud to welcome 13 outstanding young speakers to the stage!
The MIPOL Young Symposium isn’t just about presentations – it’s about creating a dynamic, encouraging space where budding researchers can test their ideas, receive feedback from an international audience, and measure their progress in the broader scientific community. It’s where tomorrow’s leaders in polymer science begin to take shape.
We warmly invite all senior scientists and congress attendees to join these sessions, support our young colleagues, and contribute to the exchange of ideas. Presentations will be spread over all three days of the congress and will take the form of 15-minute talks (including 2–3 minutes for discussion), offering a perfect mix of clarity, challenge, and engagement.
And yes – there’s a prize! The best oral communication by a Young Scientist will be recognized with a special award, to be announced and celebrated at the closing of the congress. Expect high energy and fierce inspiration.
We’re also delighted to confirm the return of the chairs from last year’s successful debut edition:
Dr. Stefano Gazzotti University of Milan, Department of Chemistry
Dr. Ermelinda Falletta University of Milan, Department of Chemistry
These two fantastic members of the Milan Polymer Days Scientific Committee have once again taken the lead, reviewing abstracts, selecting speakers, and preparing to moderate the sessions with their trademark enthusiasm and insight. They will also select the winner of this year’s Best Oral Presentation Award, who will receive a certificate and a cash prize to support participation in future conferences or schools.
Get ready for three days of inspiration, innovation, and future-shaping science. The MIPOL Young Symposium is back—and it’s better than ever!
