Celebrating the next generation of polymer scientists!
One of the highlights of MIPOL2026 was the MIPOL Young Symposium, a special session dedicated to PhD students and early-career researchers, created to give visibility to outstanding young scientists and to encourage scientific discussion within the international polymer community.

We are delighted to announce the recipient of the Mario Malinconico Award for the Best Oral Presentation: Winner:
- Christine Elian ESPCI Paris, France, for a presentation with title "Photoactivable alizarin and eugenol-based materials for antibacterial applications"
The Scientific Committee also decided to confer two Special Recognition Awards in acknowledgment of the outstanding quality of the presentations:
-
Katarzyna Kisiel Rzeszów University of Technology, Poland, "Investigation of carbon quantum dots in photoinduced ATRP: strengths and limitations".
-
Vincenzo Fabbrizio University of Milan, Italy "From water vapor to soil fertility: multifunctional superabsorbent polymers for sustainable agriculture".
Congratulations to all the awardees and to every young researcher who contributed to the symposium with enthusiasm, scientific excellence and inspiring discussions. We are proud to celebrate their achievements. Our sincere thanks also go to Professors Enrico Dalcanale and Claudio De Rosa for their thoughtful evaluation and for encouraging the scientific discussion throughout the MIPOL Young Symposium.
